Lent is the 40 day period before Easter that mirrors the 40 days that Jesus spent in the wilderness in preparation for His time in ministry and ultimately His journey to the cross. Each year, in solidarity with Christ’s sacrifice of comforts in the desert and in preparation for Easter - Christians give up comforts for the season of Lent. Rather than giving up sweets and social media we’ll be discussing giving up control, the rush and complaining.
