This morning we're doing a three week series to take us to Easter called "From Wilderness to Wonder." This morning we are beginning with a sermon called 'Into the Wilderness' and we'll look at the story from Matthew 4 where Jesus is led by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness and is tested by Satan. We'll discuss some early church and modern interpretations of this passage as well as how to apply it to our lives today. This morning we continue a three week series to take us to Easter called "From Wilderness to Wonder." This morning we're moving to John 16 and 17 as we talk about the looming shadow of the cross. What must it feel like to bear the weight of the cross? What would you and I do with that weight? And as Jesus comes even closer to the base of the cross, rather than focus on Himself He turns his attention to His followers. Let's focus there!
